The motorcycles NSU of OSL classes of thirties were typical representatives of the England motorcycles school, thanks to chief designer Englishman Walter William Moor. The single-cylindered, vertical (upstanding), overhead valve engine with side (cam) shaft in combustion head, which provided stand-up axle with two pair conical gear, differed these motorcycles from its German. The selective gear, which was made under English license, was fixed up in motorcycles transmission. And the tab of speed control was from the right (on German motorcycles from the left).
